Summary:
Enjoy all that a Waterfront holiday home at Lake Okareka can offer, perfect for large families wanting a private lawn to lake aspect. The living area opens onto a huge deck which is great for firing up the weber BBQ, relaxing and looking out over the lake. This property also neighbours a special wetlands boardwalk, so there's a heap of activities right on the doorstep. Private Jetty however please note that sudden drops in lake levels can limit larger boats.
The Space:
Waterfront Escape is a 5 Bedroom house with a large open plan living area leading out to the most fantastic deck with 180 degree lake views.
Downstairs, you will find a full kitchen, lounge and dining room opening out onto the deck. From the other side of the kitchen, you have a second lounge to enjoy which can also be closed off from the rest of the living area if required.
On the ground level, the house also has three bedrooms (on with en-suite bathroom) the main bathroom and the laundry and double garage.
Upstairs, you will find the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a small private deck to sit and enjoy the lake view. There is also a fifth bedroom which has two single beds and an additional two trundler beds is required.
The front deck leads out to your lawn and down to the lake where you have a private jetty. If you're bringing a boat, you can launch it at the ramp down the road and moor it at the front of the property for the duration of your stay.
For even larger groups, there is also a separate unit on the property that can be booked out as well. Enquire about Okareka Escape which can accommodate another 2 guests.
As a large and popular holiday home, this place is not perfect. It has signs of wear and tear, which is what makes it a perfect getaway for larger groups that want to feel comfortable in a more relaxed environment that has some flaws.
Guest Access:
You will have the whole house with the exception of the one bedroom unit which can be rented separately.
The Neighborhood:
Lake Oakareka is a beautiful quiet lakeside community less than 15 minutes drive from the Rotorua CBD. The lake is well used for fishing and water activities such as swimming, water skiing and wakeboarding.
Getting Around:
We recommend your own vehicle if staying at Waterfront Escape. There are no public transport options available apart from taxis which can be expensive from there.
Interaction with Guests:
We will be available via phone or message for any questions you might have during your stay.
