"We enjoyed every moment of our four day stay in Oloron Saint Marie. It is a charming small town with great restaurants and roads that wind up the hill to the apartment, which is in one of the houses that ring a plaza. On the street circling the plaza is a very good restaurant and a grocery. The apartment is small but is modern, lovely, and designed for every comfort you'd hope for. "The place is great; modern, American style town homes. Everything you need and location is perfect for that area of the Basque country as long as you have a car. Beware though if you need good wifi, there is only one router for several units and if all units are rented, the wifi becomes extremely slow. Also, communication can be slow, there was a 15 hour period where we were not sure if we were going to have to change properties due to a serious problem because no one was communicating with us -...

"We stated at the apartment when the Tour de France was going through in July 2023. My husband and I loved the location and the area. We had never been to the area and were from the United States, so it was important for us to have an apartment with linens and towels provided. We enjoyed our stay in the mountains! The only downside was the lack of wifi, but I think that is common for most apartments in the mountain area. There was a tourism office with free wifi in the building nearby."

"This gite is in a glorious mountain location with beautiful views and the sound of the bells on the sheep grazing nearby. We had a warm and generous welcome, enjoyed the practical, warm and comfortable accommodation and explored the locality. It was a wonderful week amongst friends and we plan to return as soon as we can!"

"Beautiful property with amazing views. Mélodie greeted us and could not have been more welcoming! The property has all necessary amenities including coffee maker, dishwasher, oven, hob, washing machine, fridge, freezer etc. The location is fantastic. We stayed on a trip from France to Spain. Especially important for us was the safe fenced area immediately outside the property for our dog and lovely local walks. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again without hesitation."

Wonderful Stay

"We had a terrific stay at Ken and Shona's rental. The house was full of character, very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen in a quiet and scenic neighbourhood. As cyclists, it was a great spot to launch a bike ride from with countless quiet backroads that were picturesque beyond belief. The house was close to all amenities and it was easy to busier roads/highways to travel to other towns and cities such as Pau, Bayonne etc. The pet donkeys were a special treat and we looked forward to seeing them in the mornings while drinking our coffee in the backyard. Shona and Ken were incredibly helpful and responsive to any questions we had. We would highly recommend this house!"

"Thank you Alain for a wonderful stay in your beautiful gîte. We loved the farm festival you took us to and you have made us feel very welcome! The gîte is lovely and comfortable, very well equipped. The views are stunning. One point to note: the pool is shared with another gîte, not private. The region is beautiful, lots to do around the gîte "
