"Our room was on the third floor. The view was excellent, management was extremely friendly. As a nature lover, I enjoyed every moment. The roosters, the iguanas, the breeze, just beautiful."

"The evening before my trip, I found out the island had lost power, which made me hesitant to move forward with my plans. I was upset—it was my birthday trip—but even more so, I was heartbroken for the locals who were dealing with such a major inconvenience. I felt selfish for being frustrated, especially when Expedia still tried to charge a hefty cancellation fee. So, I decided to go through with the trip. The resort was running on a generator, and we made peace with the idea of staying on the property for most, if not all, of our time there. Despite whatever challenges the staff may have been facing in their personal lives, they were incredibly kind and attentive. Their positive attitudes and commitment to creating a great experience for guests did not go unnoticed, and I’m genuinely grateful for all they did during such a difficult time. We learned from local Uber drivers that this was actually the fourth blackout of the year. After work, many people had to wait in long lines just to get gas for their generators. It was a humbling reminder: be kind to everyone—you never know what someone might be going through. All in all, it was an excellent experience, and I’m thankful for it."

"We had a fabulous stay at The Vieques Guesthouse! I was traveling with my teenage daughter and we felt very safe and were able to easily walk to the little town of Esperanza for dining and shopping. Right across the street we were amazed to find one of the most beautiful beaches we had ever seen! Our hosts were so attentive and helpful. Even when the power went out on the entire island, the property was equipped with solar panels and we had no interruption of power, unlike many other tourists on the island. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We will definitely come back! "

"El Conquistador is HUGE! It is beautiful. Things I loved: The water park, Palomino Island, the swim up pool bar, the spa, the rooftop bar, the daily, varying activities-day & night. Things I did not like: Service, food took long to come. Over priced. The many areas of the resort also range in quality. We had a standard room in Las Brisas, which seems to be an older not recently renovated area of the resort. The room was clean, had a beautiful ocean view and was spacious for our family of 3. However, there was no fan or ventilation in the bathroom there was a musty smell from the towels or something/somewhere. The doors banged and many people did not respect closing the doors softly especially at night or early in the morning. Walls were thin and I could hear loud and clear/word for word conversations in the room next door so much so I thought people were standing outside our door talking and I opened the door to tell them to be quiet to discover it was the next room and I was hearing it through the walls. There was also a large chunk of the wall out outside our door on the pillar between our room and the one next door. Finally, I will add the cost of dining was over the top expensive! And the food was good, not great, and not worth the cost of what they were charging. For example a main fish dish of scallops was $68.00. A meat dish was $120.00. These are fine dining, Capital Grille prices and the quality of what we received was not equivalent to the cost. "

"We stayed here for three nights. The location is convenient and beautiful. You can enjoy your coffee while listening to and watching the waves crash right on the property. You can walk to the nearest beaches or to El Junque. It has a nice pool, which we only used once, there are plenty of things to do and enjoy. The hotel is nice, clean, and has on-site parking. We arrived late and were given a code for the gate, which was easy and convenient."
