"We stayed a few days in Steeleville, MO, during our Rte 66 road trip thru MO. Our host was absolutely wonderful! We ended up arriving later in the evening, in the dark! She actually contacted us, providing directions and maintained contact with us until we arrived. She made sure we had everything we needed upon arrival... even a bottle of wine! With her vast knowledge of the area she was able to provide so many excellent suggestions for food, shopping and site seeing. We LOVED the quaint...

"Very remote feeling but only 5 miles from town. This place is a little gem, with all the amenities and then some to make sure you feel right at home. We appreciated having somewhere close to our kids to be able to have a holiday dinner with. The sound of the river while outside was so peaceful. And we walked down to it to skip rocks. "Selected a weekend in December for a short cabin stay. We got really lucky with mild weather and we were even able to enjoy the fire pit one night. The cabin was as advertised. Very good cabin feel. The kitchen was fully stocked and Caroline confirmed ahead of time on a couple items we needed to cook with we’re already there. Definitely recommend anyone looking for a cabin getaway to book this listing."

"It was awesome. We had the pleasure of staying here the week before Christmas and there was a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the living room and adorable decorations, both festive and normal, all throughout the cabin. They even had extra toiletries in case we forgot something, which we did lol. There was even board games and toys for the kids set out and in closets for us to use too, Fantastic stay, highly recommend in our book. Already taking about a return trip and stay again lol. "

"This house was a perfect rest station for my wifes marathon run, before and after. She ran in the "Honoring Our Heroes Marathon" from Salem to Rolla. The house was a quaint and quiet hideaway, not far from local bars and eatery's. "
