"Wonderful setting on a large vineyard and apricot farm. We chose this location as our home base for a 2 week vacation in Provence. We wanted to be halfway between Arles and Avignon, and drove all over Provence from here as well. Host Cécile is delightful. She offered us complete privacy and autonomy - the entrance and parking spot amongst the cypress trees are private - but we wanted to meet her and so glad that we did! Fascinating history and stories, and we learned how a vineyard works....

"There was one downside of this place - the creeping service fees which are not declared on the Vrbo profile. The website announces that bedding is provided, but then the owner writes to you to ask for €10 per person for sheets and towels. On arrival, you are told to use a screwdriver to clean the shower drains of hair before you leave. Then on departure, with minutes to spare, you are told to clean the whole place yourself or pay another €50. It’s not unusual to ask for a cleaning fee, but...

"The cottage was perfect. It says shared pool but it’s all yours, aspects of the garden are in the sun all day, our hosts were also amazing, honestly cannot recommend it enough "

"Nice property, pretty much as advertised. Owners were very communicative, helpful & pleasant, check in & out easy. The bed was really comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with everything you need from breakfast to evening meal. It has a nice terrace outside, but we didn’t use it to eat out on as the wind was unusually strong while we were there. "Really ideal place for even longer vacation in Provence and southern France. Town Uzes is one of the best places to live in this area. Small but really lively. Our vacation with 6 and 9 years old children was just perfect with back yard pool (120 cm deep) where learned to swim and dive in the heat of summer. "We can thoroughly recommend a holiday in this unique and beautifully restored early 18th century windmill with a stunning view over the Pont-du-Gard. It is only a short walk into the friendly and historic village with bars, post office and boulangerie. The owners were most welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Walk out of the secure grounds and you are in the old town of Sommieres, with its numerous restaurants and bars . This place could not score higher if you want a base to explore the area."

"Gorgeous, bijou stone cottage full of charm within walking distance of Uzès. Outside sitting areas in a beautiful garden and shared use of pool with main, larger rental property. We were lucky that no one was renting the larger property during most of our stay but be aware that it's very close to it and no physical division so wouldn't be very private when otbers are there. Prior to arrival, we were informed that we would be charged an additional 10 euros per person for towels to rent, even though they were listed as included in the amenities. After questioning this, we were told it was because we weren’t staying a minimum of 5 nights. This was also not included in the listing description. "We stayed only 2 nights in this very clean, with love decorated house. Really friendly owner, complete house, very comfortable. The guests from another appartment at the property share the entrance, you are therefore outside not totally privat, but inside the house you are . We would highly recommend this beautiful place!"

"The property was what we was looking for after a long search, the location was quiet and the property is in good order Serge and Laurence was very help through out our stay My family had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the holiday i would recommend to our friends"

"We had booked a disabled access room. The hotel advertised a restaurant which would be open. We arrived half an hour before the check in time of 2.00pm. The receptionist asked us to wait. The Bar was closed so we sat in the car. At 2.00pm we went to check in to be told the lift was not working and we had a room on the first floor! Too many steps for me to cope with. So we could not stay there. They booked us in at another Ibis but gave us the wrong address! We eventually found the hotel and were reasonably pleased, except their restaurant was closed! The hotel was also much further away from the town centre than we wanted to be. We cannot understand why the receptionist at the original hotel did not tell us about the lift when we first made contact. We also incurred charges for breakfast which we think was included in the original hotel. They also charged for our dog. Not at all happy. Instead of sight seeing we spent the afternoon sitting in the car or driving between hotel car parks. Will not book an Ibis hotel again."

Charming hotel

"Charming little hotel tucked away in the narrow streets of Arles. I was not expecting anyone to speak English in such a small town but they had someone who did. They originally put me in an upper room but with no elevator, I was struggling to climb the stairs. They noticed this and moved me to a ground floor room without me asking. "
