"This is a one-of-a-kind historic beautiful hotel. We have stayed there before and made sure that we could stay again on our route down South. Just coming up the main driveway is hugely impressive and you see the splendour of this property, especially when illuminated at night. The staff at check-in was very friendly, personable and helpful and made us feel welcome. The room was clean, spacious and well appointed. The location is great, within a short walk to historic and quaint downtown Staunton with its beautiful shops and plenty of restaurants. All staff we talked to was super nice. It was quiet and relaxing. The architecture is nothing short of amazing, just look at the spiral staircase. We would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended and very special experience."

"We were greeted upon arrival in a friendly manner. Our request for an adjoining room was granted. The lobby was welcoming with snacks, tea or hot chocolate, and holiday decorations. Our room and the lobby were very clean. Our bathroom was clean and had everything we needed but, really needs to be updated. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was of good quantity and fair-good quality. We intend to return. "
