"It was horrible rainy, misty and cold. The room was cold and even through the owner brought us an extra heater & a lovely cup of tea, it never got above 17 degrees. Small room with basic facilities. Narrow stairs & struggle to get bags up to room. Restaurant nice but steak I had was tough."

"Le Petit Volcan is at the top of hillside village of Montpeyroux. Access is along narrow steep one way streets, the last of which has a sign restricting access, but we just followed the GPS right to the entrance gate. The owner greeted us and showed us the parking (unloaded the suitcases right by the door to our room) and after showing us our room (accommodation was perfect) showed us how to get to the two nearby restaurants. Zen was good! Great breakfast and again welcoming hosts."

"We enjoyed our stay here -- it's a nice house with a great view, and we appreciated being able to use it as a base for exploring this part of the country. We had no concerns at all -- everything about the property was exactly as described. The remoteness is part of the appeal -- though it does mean that it's not easy to pop out to a shop for something you might have missed/forgotten. With good planning, it's a really appealing place."
