"This is a lovely place to stay in a lovely place to visit. Whether you are exploring San Juan island and its many spectacular historic and quirky places (check out the English and American camps from the Pig War and the McMillen Mausoleum), or fabulous natural splendor (the state, county and national parks all provide excellent views and hikes for all levels of fitness), or simply relaxing, Snug Harbor is ideally located in a quiet calm bay at the Northwest corner of the island. The cabins offer great views and privacy and the property is only a few minutes drive to Roche Harbor with its excellent dining options. For the other islands, I recommend staying in Anacortes and going out and back on the ferry on the same day, but you really should try to stay over a night or two on San Juan itself, and I can't imagine a better place to stop over than Snug Harbor."

"This was a very nice quiet unplugged family gathering. Great kitchen for cooking our meals. We very much enjoyedthe hot tub and watching the wildlife. The only thing that is even slightly negative is that there wasn't a landline as the paperwork stated and cell service is not good. "

"This house was even better than what was portrayed online. The home was so clean. The views, especially at sunset, were spectacular. My 10 year old and I used the kayaks each morning. The proximity to the sculpture park and roche harbor was ideal and friday harbor was still only a 15 minute drive. We hiked at the english camp and ran the roche harbor trials. Host was very responsive before the trip and came to relight a pilot switch about 30 minutes after we contacted her. If we ever make it back out to the San Juan islands, we will be staying here! "

"A spectacular, private retreat on a gem of an island. Our stay was completely comfortable, we saw so many animals from the property, and our dog also had a blast. Plenty of home comforts, a fire pit, beach access, and lots to go explore and see. We’ll be back!"

"While the property is peaceful and quiet, just minutes away there are so many fun, interesting things to do. We’ve stayed on several of the San Juan Islands, but San Juan Island itself is much more slow paced than most. The house has a beautiful, tranquil view, and the bed is extremely comfortable (and I am picky). We were on the island early and were thrilled to get a text message saying that the house was ready early (3 hours) and we were welcome to come anytime. The one recommendation I would make is, if you’re picky about your coffee, tea, or you like to drink a lot of water, buy a few jugs of drinking water. Although I know the house water is perfectly safe to drink, it does have a strong odor and taste. No big deal, just buy some water if you think that might bother you. A great place. We highly recommend it!"

"This place is located in a nice quiet neighborhood with wildlife. We saw fox and deer on the property. This place has everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. The property was just as advertised, especially the bedrooms were very nice for the 6 of us and the kitchen area was well stocked for cooking at home. Thank you for letting us stay at your place. I highly recommend this place if looking for a San Juan Island retreat."
