Had to call Vacasa and get key to lock box and physical key. Even then, the door would not lock behind us. 2) Internet did not work until third day of stay. Again, this required phone time with Vacasa. 3) Hot water tap in second bedroom would not produce hot water. 4) Both tubs had unpleasant black mold on grout and caulk that might...

"Very close to all things in downtown Blowing Rock. 300 feet from Bald Guy Brewing for great coffee. Having dedicated parking was nice as well, we never had an issue finding a spot. Unit was spotless when we arrived. All appliances and HVAC worked with no issues. The beds are comfortable with plenty of blankets to stay warm.One item to be ready for if you have a fall or winter rental - the checkout instructions have the outgoing tenant drop the thermostat to 54*. So be ready for it to be chilly...

"The house was nice and the fenced in yard is great even smaller dogs like mine can’t escape. We enjoyed the hot tube and how close we are to downtown BR. Only thing I can complain about is the sheets had dog hair and the comforters clearly hadn’t been washed. I get it pet friendly but my dog spent shed and didn’t want to sleep in hair. They were well stocked with laundry detergent so we were able to wash them and enjoy our trip. I would definitely stay here again or recommend it."

"Grapevine Cottage is a genuine mountain cottage, not a spec builder's 2020 reproduction. It is cozy and well furnished. The owner has done an incredible job of adding modern conveniences such as Jacuzzi bathtub, outdoor hot tub, dishwasher, microwave, etc. without detracting from the cozy cottage ambience. "The house is unique. It’s my first time to stay in a cabin and I really enjoy the specialties. It’s located on the top of the hill. The trees around the house. I can hear the birds singing. The river is down the hill. I picked up a few rocks for collection. The two horses are very friendly. It was amazing experience I had in the place.
