"We booked to stay at Haus Saarland am Rennsteig. On arriving at the hotel we found it was closed and a notice telling us to go to another hotel, Hotel Thuringenschanze which was about 0.5km away. Since we had arrived by public transport we had to walk there with our luggage. On checking in at the new hotel we were not offered Oberhof guest cards. This meant that we were unable to obtain the guest card discount when we visited the nearby SkiHalle. We asked to stay an extra night. We paid...

Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating and live onsight so are generally very available. The location was perfect for us because we could easily walk into town for restaurants, shopping or playing in the snow. "Very clean and nice big room! No aircondition, so it was quite hot. We arrived at night, and was a bit confused where to get the keys but when we found the reception in the hotel a bit further up the street we got amazing service from the guy working in the restaurant there. They even made is food and served us perfectly although it was so late and everything else was closed. They really made our day! Breakfast was supernice and the staff so so friendly and serviceminded. We only stayed one night for transit, but we will remember it! "

"Ich habe schon ein paar Mal hier übernachtet und kann es uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. Besonders schön finde ich die vielseitige Saunalandschaft, den Pool und das leckere reichhaltige Frühstück. Auch in den Betten schläft es sich sehr gut. Das Badezimmer hat eine große Dusche und es ist alles sehr sauber. Zum Empfang gibt es eine Flasche kostenloses Wasser. "
