"Plenty to see and do in surrounding area…short easy drive to Paihia central, ferry , Treaty. Grounds and Waitangi golf course.Comfortable stay, very hot while we were there. Quiet street.Didn’t realise it would be someone’s home while they were away."

"This small quirky little Bach was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. Very close to town, only a 5 minute drive from the little shops and from the harbour where you can get on numerous tours. Only complaint was that we had no communication with the owner. Checkin instructions on the app worked well. Didn’t know what to do with garbage or dirty towels. So we just left them. Regardless would recommend this as a place to stay during your visit to Paihia. "

"We loved our stay here! It was so lovely waking up surrounded by birds and trees, with a gorgeous view of the water. We enjoyed the walk to town via tracks off the property exploring the surrounding hills.Russel was a great town to stay in for a few days. Access to surrounding areas was easy and Long Beach was great day in the sun.The cabin is well equipped with everything we could have needed! Beautiful swimming pool.Difficulty accessing the basement garage due to keypad not working so had to get manager to open manually.Property great for two couples but needs a refresh and a bit of TLC. Shower gel ran out on day 1 in ensuite so hadnt been refilled from last persons stay and coffee was a solid lump in the cannister (not airtight). Tiny milk carton provided on arrival, suitable for 1 person. I have never had to pay for internet...

We appreciated her assistance in recovering a lost item; she definitely went above and beyond the expectations of our Italian friends who will remain very grateful."

"I can’t fault the house. It was very clean and tidy. The kitchen facilities were all there and in working order. Great to have access to Netflix. Here was the issue. First is the very steep and dark drive way. I like property with easy access. This was not easy access. Once you got to the top of the drive you have to do a 3 point turn to be able to leave. This was not fun on a slope. The second issue is that the house is a shared property. This means there is a rental under the house. And they...

"The house is well maintained and has a beautiful view. The property manager was "all business" - but was responsive when help was requested. Only one bedroom was made available - the other bedrooms were locked. (I some times am restless and might have made use of the second bedroom - though in all fairness I didn't raise the issue.)"

"The house is very comfortable with 2 good sized bedrooms and big living/dining areas. There are some beautiful pieces of art and an excellent book collection. The view is amazing and the property has some hidden gems. We were here for 3 nights and loved every minute. Host is great! "
