"We (4 adults in our 60s) loved our stay at this very secluded and architecturally elegant place with a huge view across the jungle to the sea. Pool was a perfect temperature and delightful, and separate bedroom wings provide extra privacy. Birding from the private bedroom baconies was fantastic (toucans, tanagers, etc.) Road leading to the house was implausibly rutted and steep but just barely manageable. Overall, a total delight to stay here."

"The property was very nice and in a great part of the country. We especially enjoyed seeing the monkeys, various birds and iguanas in the trees and deck each day. We walked into town each day, shopping and experiences the restaurants. Quepos was nice as well other tourist attractions in the area. Marie was helpful, arranging tours and giving recommendations. The property did need some maintenance, for example, the master shower head needs replacing, and the pool area needed some painting...

"Nice property just just minutes up the hill from Uvita. We had rented a Rave 4 and spent a few days in Santa Teresa and Arenal before going to Uvita. Got a message from Andrea saying to make sure our vehicle had a 4 wheel drive button or it wouldn't make it up the hill. Decided to change vehicles to a Toyata Land Cruiser Prado. Good thing we did. "This beautifully situated house in the hills above Matapalo is generally clean and functional. The pool is very nice and the kitchen is modern but without a dishwasher. The washing machine was not functional and the dryer is not accessible for guest use. Owners were very responsive and super helpful with booking tours extra. Very well appointed! The pool was a cocktail pool which we weren’t expecting so we didn’t really use much and we didn’t have much hot water.
