"Beautiful property- stayed 3 nights at a dome tent with my 7 year old- it was very modern and well equipped. Staff are great and we enjoyed the zip lining and horseback rides while at the ranch. All were extremely convenient to book during our stay- available on an hours notice. Food was excellent and traditional and the ladies in the kitchen working at the ranch were amazing. If you are looking to do a horse back ride and zip line in Costa Rica I would highly recommend staying night or so and doing the activities while enjoying the property. It’s a better day than booking a tour from the coast if you have a car IMO, simply because you have more time to enjoy nature and generally more private zip lining and horseback riding so you could accomplish more. Our stay was mid March 2025. Activity prices were reasonable as was the stay. "

"Hacienda is a great spot. Beautiful grounds, great restaurant, and great service. It’s showing its age a bit and could use a little updating and some maintenance. Our room was very nice and comfortable but the AC did not cool the room well. It did not detract from the overall stay though."

"We have stayed ar over 20 rental properties. And this one was by far the best! The house and grounds are beautiful. Patrick is an amazing host! We ended up with a flat tire and he arranged to have it taken into town to be repaired.The daily breakfast provided were also amazing and different every day!I can’t recommend this property enough!"

"The view from our room (#11) was unbelievable. We had a full window wall that provided a jaw-dropping view of the volcano. Impressive!!! It was very convenient being adjacent to Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park. There are no restaurants at the Lodge but the neighboring hotel has a very nice restaurant which is just a very short drive down the hill. Breakfast, which is included, is also at this restaurant and is very good. The drive into LaFortuna is about 15-20 minutes or so. Highly recommend if you don't mind being outside of LaFortuna. "
