"If you’re looking for a place to stay in Haarlem, this is the place to be. The staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful. Our room was great, and the space was clean. The location was great for us. It’s right across from the train station as well as where the busses come and go. Personally we never had a problem with noise from the station. "It was a wonderful property. The only issue is there are a lot of stairs, even if you take the elevator we still had to do stairs to get to our room and there were stairs in our room. If you stay here, note if you have issues with stairs so they can put you in a different area."

If there is one thing I would recommend is that getting a room near the street next to the Food Hallen on the weekend is not a good idea as the sound from the music and people outside on the street can get loud. It is a good location near public transit and the harbor if you intend to go on a day trip up the river."

"Wanted a flatter pillow,as the ones provided were to high for my head and neck,but reception said that the hotel only had the type of pillow provided. "The hotel is great. Rooms are spacious and clean. Dinner was great and food cooked to perfection. There are so many choices from the breakfast brunch. My only issue was when checking in we stood there for an about 5-10 mind with no assistance. There were 6 people at different desk at the front. 1 was helping another guest, the others looked at us then looked back down and did not acknowledge us, one lady actually walked over to the lady helping the other guest and stood on the side watching her computer.I thought this was a one off experience but the following day I went to get a parking ticket and there were 3 ladies at the front, 3 men at the back. They all looked at me then back down, eventually one of the guys in the back said to one of the ladies “can you help her” she looked up and acknowledged me, because of this I opted for the express check out. As a person of color this is not a good experience and the 1st time I’ve ever experienced something like this. The lady who eventually checked us in ( she walked in while we were waiting)was wonderful and made us feel welcome"
