"This was an absolutely quaint and beautiful in, with wonderful owners, both of which we met during our stay. There is a beautiful small pub that had live music and wonderful food, so we never had to leave The in for dinner. Our room was immaculately, clean, And we will absolutely be back here. "

"Staying here was like stepping back in time. Lovely preservation of a historic inn. Food was wonderful. Stairs challenging, but worth the effort. We felt like John and Abigail Adams! "

"wonderfully restored old mansion. Rooms were charming... nicely designed. In fact the entire facility has been thoughtfully brought into today's design standards. Very accomodating staff... although many appeared to be a training mode. Need to improve the professionalism a bit. They have a new general manager (had only been there about 2 weeks when we visited)... seems he has a number of things on his agenda that will improve the property even more. Food was good... but not wonderful. ...

"Staff was friendly and helpful. The facility is a little run down, but it was clean. A lot was closed (ie. on site bar/restaurants) due to it being between seasons, which was disappointing. We used the hot tub, which was not very hot. We'd stay there again though. "

"We loved the Freeman estate for our wedding!! Daniel and Anna were super helpful and the property was amazing! The house had so many amenities it was beyond our expectations. Our guests were astounded by the home and the surrounding property, would HIGHLY recommend to anyone and everyone. "

"We booked this place for a one-night stay to check out the Berkshires. This was pretty much centrally located from everything we wanted to visit. We chose this place for the country feel rather than the big city type hotels. The place was a little outdated but had the more of a home feel. There is some updating due there, but it wasn't a disappointment. We will book again when we visit the area to go hiking. Plus, the lake view was ok, and the water looked very clean. I will say this is an excellent spot if you're an outdoor person for fishing. Kayaking etc. "
