"I live in southern Arizona, but I’m originally from Kansas. Las Vegas, NM is the perfect halfway point when driving to and from visits home. The first time I booked this hotel I did so because it was cheap and I knew I’d only be there 4-6 hours for some quick rest. When I checked in I was so pleasantly surprised by how nice it was for the price. This is now my second time staying here, and I still love this place. Even though it’s a little rough around the edges from renovations, the rooms are spotless, the beds are neat and comfortable, the staff are quick and courteous, and I’ve never had any issues with noise or other guests. This hotel is also just a short drive away from a lovely dispensary and a Taco Bell (perfect way to spend a night alone on a roadtrip). I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate this affordable little hotel right along my path home, and how much I appreciate Las Vegas, NM as a whole."

"My husband & I met up in Santa Fe with his daughter and our four grandchildren (17-24) from San Diego, Santa Cruz, Portland, & Portales (NM). Rass Mandal was ideal for our group of seven, there was plenty of space to congregate and for privacy. Lots of rooms filled with collectibles from the owner's world travels, it's ecclectic & fun. The views are spectacular during the day and we enjoyed nighttime star-gazing from the "balcony" aka rooftop terrace. A couple of us saw shooting stars! The hot tub was perfect on a chilly morning or evening. We were treated to a visit from a buck and four mule deer on the property one morning. Lucky to notice them through the windows inside the home! We all delighted in 2" of snow overnight before Thanksgiving Day, it made for a scenic holiday. We created a fabulous feast in the kitchen and shared a memorable celebration at the grand dining room table. Everyone had a great time! Thank you, Richard, for opening your home so others can enjoy it. I highly recommend Rass Mandal for an unforgettable getaway. "

"We really enjoyed staying at this house over Thanksgiving week. It was the perfect spot for our family. Close enough to Santa Fe downtown, Ski Santa Fe and Bandolier National Monument. But away from the busy tourist scene. We really enjoyed spending time on the patio watching the sunset and the stars. The house was very cozy. It was heated and had lots of blankets. It was uniquely decorated and we enjoyed discovering all the details throughout the week. There is even this little hole in the exterior wall (sealed hole) that is like a telescope and you can see a dot of the the sunset from the inside. The house had everything we needed for our week long stay. The road leading to the house was ok for us (we rented a Ford Explorer). It snowed while we were there and the snow was removed from the road very early in the morning. We enjoyed this house and will be back! "

"This place was perfect for our mixed age range family to catch up with each other. Well stocked bathrooms, kitchens, and bedrooms. The unit layout is such a neat and unique feature to accommodate individual families getting together but still have their own amenities. Unit 1 is also large enough to host people from the other units. "
