"We had a lovely week. The waterfall behind the house was a short and pleasant walk away. The beach was a 2 minute walk and very quiet. It was lovely. This is a great house for a family getaway. "

"Great location to tour Sutherland, we went as far south as Ullapool and North to Bettyhill. Visited too many places to mention but my favourite was Balnakeil Bay, huge beach great for your dogs and easy to access. Lots of amazing scenery, the picnic area by Kinlochbervie beach had two resident stags in the green fenced field. Mairi and Willie great friendly hosts, be sure to order your Lobster, Prawns and Crabs, they were amazing and such good value. Will definitely return."

"An excellent little lodge for 2 down a short walk from the local village. The place was superbly equipped with everything needed for our stay. Only slight problem - the sofas and chairs were a little too low to the ground! Otherwise it was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay."

Long gone. Welcome basket? Dont hold your breath. Plenty of supplies befitting a luxury place? Not if you count 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper, a half roll of paper towels, no replacement garbage bags and no laundry detergent for a week's stay as ample. "Nice house looking out onto beautiful little beach. A lot of sheep which meant little lambs everywhere this time of year. Friendly neighbours! Tip: go to Handa (approx. 45 min. drive) for a very special hike on this remote bird island."
