"We stayed out of season, where the only guests there, staff went out of their way, even opening the restaurant just for us during a period of bad weather "

"The resort is excellent and lo ates right on the ocean. Had a few issues getting in to our room since its off season, staff is not onsite, and we were to let ourselves into our room. Some other people staying in the same building as us also left the common areas messed up. A quick phone call resolved all our issues and the resort upgraded us to a larger room because of the mess. In the end glad we chose the place and would recommend it to others."

They bent over backwards for us, had great recommendations, the best food we’ve had, and made us feel so at home. This place is a hidden gem and I hope many, many more people go and see them! "

"This guest house was one of the most affordable and one of the nicest places we stayed in Iceland. It was extremely clean and well-maintained, with additional touches and detail that showed the owners really cared. The staff were organized, informative and friendly. It offered a lovely complimentary breakfast with coffee, tea, juice, bread, meats and cheeses, cereal, porridge, eggs etc. It also offered lunch and dinner for a fee and was also conveniently close to other restaurants (one right across the street) as well as some local sights. We went whale watching with Láki Tours and the port was only a short 2 min walk away, in view of the guest house. It is the absolute perfect place to stay in Hólmavík I could not recommend it more!"
