You're just remote enough to feel alone but close enough to civilization to be convenient. The location is great so close to the different caverns and all the hikes at Skyline Drive. "Very basic amenities. No shampoo or soap. No extra towels or trash bags. If your house accomodates 6 people, the kitchen should have enough to cook for 6 (only small pans, no casserole dishes, etc). Some things were dirty and filter needed replacing in the water system in fridge, and the hand soap in the downstairs bath was filled with water. Other soap containers refilled with different soap, so hard to tell ingredients for allergies. I will say the house is close to a lot of things in Luray...

The only difficulty was on street parking in a crowded neighborhood however, I never had to park more than a block away from the property.
