"Pros: Good location. Clean. Helpful staff. Daily complimentary coffee, tea, snacks. Daily chocolate delivered to room. Cons: Property a bit dated. Dark decor not for everyone’s taste. No safe in the room. Any cons, though, were offset by the friendliness and willingness of the staff and the services provided by the hotel. Overall, a quiet and comfortable stay in a good location. "

"This might be the prettiest place I ever stayed at. The scenery is spectacular. The hotel is just perfect. It's a beautiful country-house with exceptional food and the service is great. A++. I strongly recommend this. We did the horse and ATV tour and it's a must do. Fly into Wellington and rent a car to see the beautiful scenery on the 2 hr drive. I would love to return."

"Rooms are quiet, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Property area is lovely and hosts Mark and Jo were friendly and attentive. They provide a great service and we really enjoyed our stay."

"Parking was terrible and entering the hotel by car is very difficult with a very narrow driveway only accessible on one side of the hotel on a one-way street. The living room area had 2 small chair and no couch and the coffee table was similar to an end table. Nice proximity to Cuba Street restaurants but overpriced for a mediocre room. Next Wellington visit, I will seek alternative accommodations."

"My wife and I recently stayed at the Bolton Hotel in Wellington and had a great experience. Our suite was clean, spacious, and very well equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The service throughout our visit was texcellent—staff were friendly and attentive and helpful. We also had the opportunity to dine at the hotel restaurant, which served very good food. Although the prices were on the expensive side. Location-wise, the hotel is ideally placed. It's a short stroll to the beautiful Botanic Gardens and Zealandia, with the waterfront just a 20-minute walk away, making it a great base for exploring the city. Overall, we would definitely stay again if visiting Wellington."
