"Firstly, I would stay here again! The apartment was very spacious, clean and easy to find. The kitchen was well equipped and super useful. One bath and one hand towel for a whole week wasn’t ideal and no obvious way to get clean ones. Emails about how to get in were clear, so no contact otherwise needed. When I arrived though there was a terrible smell in the apartment from the drains, which went as soon as I ran all taps and flushed loo a few times. I assume no one had been in for a while. lol didn’t flush properly, but as long as mindful not an insurmountable issue. The location is great for getting to Münster, Dortmund etc and Emsdetten is a nice little town in its own right. The decoration/set up of the apartment is very good and it’s great to have a TV by the bed too… to treat myself to a leisurely coffee in bed before the day has to start. Shame the parking isn’t for the hotel, rather than the bakery below, on the main street. Several people tried to get the one/two spaces right next to the door as they had CCTV, which is reassuring if, like me, you’d don’t want to schlepp all of your worldly goods out of the car every night. It was great having a lovely bakery downstairs though for fresh rolls each day!! "

"Stayed at this amazing property with our 2 kids and absolutely loved it. Communication with host was impeccable. Location in the countryside yet still close enough to amenities including supermarkets and train station. WiFi worked well Place is clean, modernised whilst still capturing the charm of the past. Some windows could remain open with flyscreens in place hence allowing some cool air ventilation overnight which was appreciated. Beds very comfortable. There were many thoughtful gestures around the house that made for a very comfortable stay. Kids enjoyed the toys and swinging hammock. We highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing time away from home!"

"Room was quiet, beds really comfy and had a great night's sleep. Owner friendly and chatty (his English was very good!). We were on a motorcycle and had no issues parking, plenty of space all hard standing and safe. Evening meal was good and hearty, and we could sit outside where there is a really lovely garden. Plenty for breakfast - bread rolls, meats, cheeses and home made jams. We were just stopping off for one night, but overall a great stay!"
