"We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation....

"The facilities at this property were very minimal for what is offered as a furnished holiday let. A salt and pepper set would have been nice. We had flat 2 which is not air conditioned but an air-conditioning unit outside our suite was noisy and disturbing."

"The townhouse was nice and well-maintained, and not too far away from many things to do in Franschhoek! Directions/instructions on how to get there (what the actual address is) could be improved, as we originally tried to check in to the apartments near Motherdough. Additionally, there was a very off-putting smell coming from under the kitchen sink that we could not find a source for. Overall, a good stay."

"A whole house with all the trimmings, amenities and warm South African welcome of the owner. The fridge contained complimentary butter, home made jam, bottle of wine and farm fresh milk. There were home made rusks and scrunchies. There was complimentary spices to use as well as olive oil etc etc. We were given two dishwashing pods and laundry detergent to use. I've never stayed in a place that is so well equipped. The owners friendliness further enhanced our stay. "

"Great cottage, everything you need for a relaxing stay, had issues with loadshedding getting hot water, but this was not the fault of the guesthouse, they made arrangements for us to use another bathroom in the main house. Excellent hosts, checking we was ok, such a friendly place to stay, we will be back, we loved it for a weekend away. Thank you "
