"A lovely boutique hotel, down a quiet side street but close to the main road, with great staff. Max greeted us on arrival and was always checking to make sure we were happy. He also gave an excellent recommendation for dinner. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was supplied with spa products which were very nice and available to buy. Free coffee was always available and supplemented by cake of the day in the afternoon. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice on offer."

"A true gem. This is my new go-to place for the first (and second) night in Cape Town. Most international flights arrive in the early morning and commercial downtown hotels do not let you check in before 3 pm. Most of us are exhausted. So make your way to Franschhoek against traffic and stop at some wineries on the way. Then rest at La Fontaine. Many fine restaurants within 0.5 miles. Lovely breakfast and exceptional service."

"Lovely people, comfortable, outside hottub was fab, breakfasts made to order, really large bathroom. The only thing was the tech which doesn't work and needs to be ditched. It's a gimmick which doesn't add to the experience- not pleasant having music in the room going on in the middle of the night having had no explanation of what to do to stop it. All in all though very much to be recommended."
