The space:
Camp Garcon was built as part of a larger family compound and is full of history and charm. It's gorgeous bead board walls and original woods floors will transport you back into the luxurious gilded era. Painting group trip
We are a group of artists painting together in the Adirondacks for a week. It was the perfect size and price for us. The front porch was fantastic with its swing and lots of seating, up on a hill set back from the lake with a large house between the two. There is a walk through the woods to a dock that we swam from. The living room is the size of a tiny bedroom, it was disappointing but looking back at the photos it’s as they showed. The dining room was a great size for us. The kitchen had what we needed and the pantry was nice to have. We had issues with an out of reach smoke alarm going off 5 times during our first night but we called, they came the next morning and replaced it. It’s a 10 min walk to town and some of us enjoyed taking the boat ride/tour of Raquette lake on the Durant. We made reservations for dinner at the Hedges Resort which was very nice.
