"Great hotel. Loved the look amd feel. Food at the restaurant was very good. Prices were reasonable. The rooms are small and on the older side but clean. Loved the vibe and old feel.of the hotel. Would happily stay again. Carlisle was an unexpected gem."

"This is such a special place, historic, scenic,homely,warm and welcoming. The garden suite was outstanding and the food quality excellent. The only thing I could possibly complain about was the Guiness as sad as that is. It frustrates me incredibly when I order a branded draught beverage and it comes in a different branded glass. The Guiness was poured in one go whereas the connoisseurs of the black beauty recognise and appreciate it’s a slow patient process leaving mid way to stand for a while....

"Hotel is close to Railway Station & Shopping Centre Breakfast non buffet today Sunday, due to a technological problem, I should asked for more, so I got extra cereal to compensate."

Plenty of parking, a well appointed room with a good selection of TV channels, good WiFi, decent bed and a large selection of different options for breakfast. Service was a highlight with genuine friendliness from all staff. "

"Very convenient for travel from England to Scotland. One issue. We are both disabled and of the 4 disabled bays one blue badge was displayed. The other bays were taken up by work vans.......unacceptable!!!!"

"Stayed in a family room with wife and 3 kids. Room was very spacious and comfortable, with lovely views from large windows. Dinner and breakfast both very good with lots of options. I left a jacket by mistake, and the staff were really great and shipped it back to me right away. Great service! Would definitely recommend this hotel."
