"Very friendly"

"This is such a special place, historic, scenic,homely,warm and welcoming. The garden suite was outstanding and the food quality excellent. The only thing I could possibly complain about was the Guiness as sad as that is. It frustrates me incredibly when I order a branded draught beverage and it comes in a different branded glass. The Guiness was poured in one go whereas the connoisseurs of the black beauty recognise and appreciate it’s a slow patient process leaving mid way to stand for a while....

"Beds clean and comfy, room in need of updating especially bathroom vinyl flooring also floor noisy to walk on,however it is an old building. For one night it was perfect for us.Breakfast was good plenty of choice.Lovely staff all very welcoming and hotel very close to the station and in the middle of all the bars and shops."

"We stayed at The Station Hotel purely because of its proximity to the railway station but found it such an enjoyable experience that we are already planning a return visit. It is an old building, part of the historic centre of the city, and at the moment there is a certain amount of traffic disruption because of a genera[ upgrading of the area but we were not ina car and were not effected by this, Very friendly, helpful staff bit on the desk and around the hotel. "They charge 5GBP parking charge if booking is not done through their own website. It’s a bit of a downside, otherwise it’s a value for money overnight stay. "

"The hotel is in a quiet rural area out of town. It would be beneficial if you have a car, but there is a good bus service and the bus stop is across the road from the hotel. When we were there the hotel was being renovated but we never found this a problem and everyone was very helpful, lovely staff."
