Having to play rock, paper, sizzors for who got a plate or fork was not enjoyable (we ended up buying our own to add to the property). I would say the kitchen lacked many elements. Overall the home felt a bit like the bachelor days of college with a random collection of barely hanging in there furniture items (careful on the chairs). "Place was as described to accommodate our large group. It was about 20 minutes from the airport and 45 minutes into Edinburgh. Lots of eating places locally and shops to eat in. Had all the linens and soaps we needed. Could use some towel racks in the bathrooms and mirrors in the bedrooms. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend place to others looking to explore the area."

"Poorly maintained, master bedroom door handle was on top of the cupboard and the shower hose leaks. Not enough electrical sockets to provide power to laptop and lights. Furniture was a bit uncomfortable. Bed was very squeaky. Overall adequate for its purposes and met expectations. Wifi details provided were incorrect, but its on the hub so managed. TV was only usable with youtube as its the only service available that didn't require signing in. No live digital channels available. ...

"We had a very relaxing stay out in the farm lands of Scotland. Our children loved the fresh air, quiet and the roads for my son to continue his running training. Susan and Chris were very kind and considerate. We got some nice recommendations for dinner in Balerno which was a nice break from crowded Edinburgh."
