"Easily the worst overnight stay I have encountered anywhere in my travels. We had no working water heater the first 24 hours so none of us could shower. The floors were sticky. We killed two sizeable spiders in the unit. The whole place smelled like chemicals but I couldn’t quite place what they were. "We spent 5 nights at the thatched cottage to use as a home base for day trips to Southern Ireland. It was like stepping back in time but with modern conveniences!! The large farm was peaceful and so much fun to explore. The property was close to Adare for stores and restaurants but yet so private. We did love being visited very day by the two dogs!! Lastly, David was so responsive, helpful and a pleasure to handle everything during the rental. We highly recommend this property."

"The cottage was very comfortable. It had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. The location was central to all the places we visited. We enjoyed our daily drives through the countryside and having a relaxing place to stay when we returned each evening. On our final day, we enjoyed touring the local area and found that there was plenty to do in or near Mountshannon. It was nice taking a break from driving. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. "We really enjoyed our stay. Close to the Castle and folk park as well as shops and restaurants. Carol was very helpful with providing tips for dinning, site seeing and shopping. With four adults, it was nice to have the three bedrooms and two and a half baths. We would definitely stay here again."

"Nice spot in Quin. Best for persons with rental cars. Not really walkable (dangerous road without a bright yellow vest) to Quin village but taxis and Uber is available, if you’re lucky and patient. Clean, welcoming, all you need for a long stay including washing machine, dryer, fridge, dining ware, cutlery, etc. Would stay again. "

"We got upgraded to a premium suite which was great. Had 2 kings & pull out sofa. Room was clean and spacious. Awesome large patio space. However the shower had quite a bit of black mold. Under the sink was mold and a pile of caulk under the bath. Benches by bed had stains and rip. For a 4 star hotel I think these things could have easily be fixed. "
