"The Mawar exceeded my expectations for a lovely, chill, 3 weeks. Petu, the cook/laundress/house keeper, took her job seriously and ensured. the place incredibly clean. Her food was so very yummy that we never ate in a restaurant over the 3 weeks, I visited. She took delight in surprising me with treats and special extras that I had not idea were part of the experience, aka fresh fruit smoothies, poolside each afternoon. Petu, the grounds and pool keeper, was also very attentive, kind and very concerned, ensuring we were always happy. We had only one afternoon, rain out during monsoon, so don’t let weather predictions dissuade. Beach access is a bit tricky and the black sand beach has debris and trash roll in with the tide. It does NOT smell and is all part of the experience. I spent so much time in the cabana, watching the fishing boats and distant cruise ships, and of course…many delightful Balinese massages. Aside from the great day of dolphin sightings. Excursions were mostly at least an hour away, with Very helpful driver, Kadek. He was a safe driver with lots of ideas for secret local gems. The Snorkeling, about 1.5 hr drive to the east was really, really excellent. I went twice during my stay and could have easily gone more. I enjoy the entire experience and getting to know the staff was extra special."

"We had an excellent time at Villa Belvedere the property is spotless, well appointed and the garden and outdoor area is beautiful manicured. All the staff from Security to Gardeners and especially Mrs Nyoman and Ms. Kadek have produced delicious meals and looked after us like family. Highly recommended for a family Villa vacation. There was one incident I had with the property management of the Villa regarding the full use of the 5 bedrooms. I clearly held a reservation and paid Expedia for the entire villa with 5 bedrooms. The management asked me via text msg to make additional payment for using more than 3 bedrooms. That was very confusing and unprofessional. I called Expedia and the issue was eventually solved."

"I lived in Bali for two years and in several other locations throughout Indonesia (including living in the Hotel Mulia in Senayan, JKT), and I can say this villa is the cleanest abode I have experienced in Indonesia. The manager Komang was amazing from start to finish. He helped to organise a whole babi guling, 48 beers, and a birthday cake for us prior to arrival. Nothing was too much for him and his staff. They even cooked up what was left of the babi guling a couple of days later in the traditional Balinese way - a good old fashioned fry up with one spicy and one non-spicy option for all of us. The location is a little bit tricky to get to because the final few hundred metres to the villa is off a little side road that is quite narrow and goes through a bit of semi-wilderness. Once you arrive you are greeted with a spectacular entrance that was obviously carefully planned to offer views from the car park through the villa to the ocean beyond. The landscaping is superb and the layout of the villa and adjoining guest rooms offers sea views for two of the four rooms. Two rooms are located in the main villa, and another two are in a separate building close by. The amenities are all there, however the TV is not a Smart TV which is surprising considering the villa is almost brand new. I believe this is an oversight that should be rectified by the management as soon as possible. Would absolutely stay again! Sorry for breaking the fridge Komang..."
