"The home is very comfortable and a great location between Montevideo and Punta del Este. The closest town is Piriapolis, about 7 minutes' drive and the beaches there are very nice. The beach at the home is also nice for sunbathing, but it's very rocky and not suitable for swimming. "This property is well situated,historic,accommodating,and has a great vibe and charm. The rooms are small by American standards and have mostly twin beds,but each room has a full bathroom. The kitchen was more than adequate,while the dining room and "entertainment areas (tv,stereo,cd/dvd players)" always welcomed four of five adults very comfortably. "Stayed Saturday to Monday. Poor check in, very slow, staff appeared to lack interest in customers. An hour to get a room. On Sunday WiFi not available in our room all day. No solution given. In the early evening,no hot water. Callling to request help, we were told our building was not having hot water until Monday. Nobody informed us, maintenance never appeared and no solution given. PdelE has many options. Why bother returning to Solanas? "
