"I emailed the property the evening before regarding parking options. They responded very quickly. When we arrived the hotel was immaculately clean. The lady on reception was lovely and even though we are english she spoke with us in spanish and we understood her. This is what we like in Spain. We do not want to hear English. "Hotel had a nice Spanish appearance, though rooms were dated and beds uncomfortable. Clean upon a quick glance but room was very dusty upon proper inspection. Staff friendly but pool boys were not very proactive to assist. Some areas of the hotel are smart, others are a bit staid and need a refresh."

"This is a no frills hostel in a very central location on the Plaza de las Flores. There are no reception staff on site but communication by WhatsApp was good. I was given the option of rooms and took the option of a ‘noisier room’ which was immediately available. This room overlooked the adjacent restaurants and was quite noisy up til closing time. Beautiful vista, interior well maintained and comfortable.

"We arrived to find the property interior clean, recently decorated, well taken care of and comfortable furnishings. The view from the living room is superb! The living room furnishings are very comfortable and in great shape and clean. Kitchen recently updated well setup! Shower and bathrooms were slightly disappointing and need modernisation - but almost functional, primary en-suite shower did not drain so was not usable. Outside furniture was comfortable but in need of a good clean. The outside photos are also out of date, glass wall has been placed with an inexpensive wire fence… and the patio is in desperate need of restoration and breaking apart. Lighting fixture on wall was left with a wires and light socket rather than a proper fixture. We also thought they could have opened up the outside and given it a was / clean before we arrived (first impressions and all). Took a bit of time swapping out batteries in corresponding remotes to get the wall heaters / ac working - another thing that could have made the welcome a bit nicer. Key pick up and drop off is at a property managers office - good communication and fairly straight forward. Overall - we had a fabulous time and enjoyed our stay. All of the items mentioned didn’t disrupt our holiday at all. Location is good, shame you have to drive to get anywhere due to the 4 lane road cutting off the estate; but local town nice, beach was beautiful (1 min drive) and Sotogrande Marina was fantastic."

4 bed Villa with probably the best views on the Costa in the Sotogrande area.

Breathtaking view / wonderful villa

"Our 5 night stay at Villa Vista Mar with my 2 teenagers and Mum was perfect. The view is stunning day and night . The pool and fully air conditioned villa provided welcome respite from the August heat when needed and the patio furniture enabled family card games and al fresco dining in the early evening. We will definitely stay again."

Nice apartment with sea views Shame about the busy road and unsightly huge amounts of uncollected ru

"The apartment itself is first class and the sea views excellent The location is poor in that you have to cross the busy A7 road to walk to the two restaurants which are nearby. Also there were huge amounts of uncollected rubbish which had been deposited outside of and adjacent to the designated bins.I have a picture of this and it would not be something you would expect to see when looking out of the apartment"

Stunning two bedroom apartment 500 metres from the beach with sea views.

Lovely apartment and good location but thin walls let rating down

"Lots of positives, so those first… The flat was just as described - well equipped and furnished with everything you could need. The balcony was lovely for breakfasts though we lost the sun about 11am - a blessing in summer I suspect. The roof terrace is great for chilling and sunbathing though a little windy in Feb/March maybe. Plenty of parking options. The location is perfect if you have a little dog as you can walk to the end of the street and you are on paths with trees etc, one will take you down over the walkway to the beach. In Feb/March people are allowed to have dogs on the beach which for us was great. The local beach bars are shut in winter so you will need a car to vosit further afield like Port Dequesa etc. The local towns of Estepona and Sabinillas were well worth visiting with lots of beautiful squares and reasonable eateries. The restaurant Aldea Hills just a couple of minutes walk from the villa was amazing - lovely food and service and just 3 euros for a glass of wine! The negative… the walls are very poorly insulated which meant that in the lounge we could hear the little girl next door who didn’t go to bed till 10 and was quite loud! They also have 2 large dogs that they leave home alone sometimes. The other side - the master bedroom was not so bad but often the couple didn’t go to bed until 1/2 in the morning and would talk loudly and shower just before that."
