"Nueva Vida is gorgeous!! Sandy paths that lead to your tree house vibe oasis, super relaxing and gorgeous views! Lovely pool and hammocks to enjoy right on the beach!! Service was excellent. Rooms cleaned daily which is important with all the sand. Breakfast was so delicious to start our day and the location is perfect in So-Tu! In the heart of the hippie vibe with gorgeous restaurants and clubs but just south enough to be in the quiet part yet fully walkable. Get a room with an ocean view for absolute paradise! No AC but rooms have fans. We found the ocean breeze kept us very comfortable (early April). Lots of seaweed, but this is something one cannot plan around this time of year but the view is still absolutely stunning! Highly recommend staying here 3 - 4 nights. We stayed 4 and it was perfect. The tree house style rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable but be prepared that the sand blows everywhere and the humidity keeps everything a bit damp feeling. We loved having a fridge for juice and water. Out unit (Espiritu Maya) came with separate bath, sperate kitchen and 2 story bedroom- perfect for families! We thought we would cook but never did. Showers have salty feeling and taste so one never feels fully clean but it is okay in this environment. Just go with the flow. Great yoga options next door at Lula. Terrific cenote right up the road- just order a drink to hang there. Fave restaurant: La Taqueria Pinches Tacos Shop!"

"Tulum is expensive and Coco Unlimited provides a reasonably priced option (including breakfast) in an unbeatable location and the best service I’ve had. At the beginning of the trip, we started communicating with the front desk on What’s App and they were so helpful throughout our time in Tulum. They made us reservations, hooked us up with discounts at local establishments, were very responsive on What’s App as our needs changed, and generally made us feel safe and comfortable on a trip curated to our liking. I can’t eat gluten and my travel partner is a vegetarian. Not only were they accommodating at Coco Unlimited, but they always notified the places we were going about our food restrictions. I will genuinely miss Leslie. I trusted her so unconditionally I got a tattoo from a local artist she recommended. This is not the fanciest hotel but it is clean and beautiful and completely in the Tulum vibe. People who complain about it should pay more and stay in a bougie hotel. "

"From the moment we arrived at Hotelito Azul, it was clear this place was something special. Nestled along the pristine beaches. The architecture is modern yet respects the local culture, with open-air spaces, thatched roofs, and wooden accents that create an organic and tranquil vibe. The staff is absolutely incredible—genuinely warm, attentive, and eager to ensure that your stay is nothing short of perfect. Check-in was smooth, and we were greeted with refreshing drinks and a welcome smile. Every request was met with enthusiasm, whether it was for a recommendation or extra towels for the beach Hugo was very professional and sweet. Our room was a sanctuary—spacious, impeccably clean by Griselda she is literally the best, she filled with all the comforts you’d expect from a five-star resort. The views of the turquoise ocean from our private terrace were breathtaking. The room featured a comfortable king-sized bed, luxurious linens, and an outdoor shower that added an exotic touch. The resort’s amenities are top-notch. We loved lounging by the infinity pool, enjoying the breathtaking views of the Caribbean. The on-site restaurant serves some of the best food we’ve had in Tulum. Fresh, flavorful, and with an emphasis on local ingredients, every meal felt like a culinary adventure. What really sets this hotel apart, though, is its connection to nature. The beach is serene and uncrowded, perfect for long walks or watching the sunrise."

"My partner and I looked at SO many options before booking La Zebra. We wanted to experience Tulum in a relaxed way. After reading reviews (like this one, I hope!), we landed on La Zebra thanks to its humble, family-friendly, safe, and gorgeous location. A week or two before our stay, the concierge WhatsApped asking if we had any questions, needed transportation, or wanted help booking activities/restaurants. This was incredibly helpful and made us feel so welcome. Arriving at La Zebra is like a dream. The staff immediately welcomes you with complimentary drinks and gives you a quick tour of the grounds. Our room was SPOTLESS, big, and gorgeous for the two of us. The bed was very comfortable, the AC worked like a charm and the shower, well, I'll let you see for yourself. My partner was on the fence about getting the plunge pool LOL we used it every single day, multiple times a day. The staff maintained the water, foot bath, and area around the pool. This is your sign: get the plunge pool. Each room opens to the direction of the ocean, with a few overlooking the ocean. We didn't get a room with a view, but in fact, we liked it better because it offered us the privacy we wanted. All plunge pool rooms are on the ground floor-- it's like walking out into paradise. The staff is incredible, warm, hardworking, and so friendly-- the waiters, cabana crew, front desk, room service, and everyone in between. The food is SO FRESH, local, and made with love.
