"When we first arrived, the office location was quite confusing. It turns out the office and motel was next door and was under a different name, the Airport Goldstar Motel. When we finally found the office and checked in the desk clerk asked if we wanted a nice, newly updated room for only $20 more than we had already paid. I agreed. They made sure all our needs were met but allowing us the privacy to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Te Karaka lodge surroundings. "A tad cold, even in summer. The breakfast basket was nice surprise but i feel the quantity can be increased (only 1 strip of bacon and 1 small waffle per pax). The cost could be used for a nice hotel stay instead"

"Staff fantastic, warm, and friendly. Room was very nice and roomy. Clean and inviting. Shower was lovely and good water pressure. A little noise from the motor way but this was not hindering sleep. Beautiful breakfast on site. Close to grocery and other restaurants if you want other options from the Bistro, but this is lovely to. Recommend highly."

"Very convenient place to stay on arrival at Auckland Airport. Spotless apartment. Kitchen equipment adequate for simple food preparation. Maintenance was an issue: The shower rail was broken and the hose leaked so that water pressure in shower was not adequate. Carpet strips not fastened down properly - a trip hazard."
