Welcome to the jungle!
This place is truly part of the jungle - we saw tons of bird and had monkeys, coatis and even a huge spider inside of the treehouse. We felt one with nature, while still living in a very clean and comfortable space. There were no mosquitos at night which was a pleasant surprise! When we arrived Joel greeted us with a smile and even helped us make a dinner reservation down the road at Encanta La Vida since we didn't bring much food with us.
In hindsight, having less food in the cabin and eating at local restaurants might have been a blessing because more food = more wildlife trying to take your food lol
A few drawbacks of this place: the photos are not updated so what you don't see is a large home that sits on the property to the front right of the treehouse. It takes away from the view and the private, secluded feeling a bit. The pump for the waterfall/pool area did not work, leaving a stagnant pool of water sitting in the back of the treehouse. There was animal feces in the pool on multiple days, which my husband cleaned out because Joel had left town and the replacement caretaker did not speak English (we did not have cell reception or wifi to use Google translate). The outdoor kitchen area looked pretty shabby and run down, not at all as it does in the photos. Bit of an eyesore.
Aside from those few minor drawbacks, our stay here was a very positive experience! We enjoyed feeling one with nature and would absolutely stay here again.
