Farmstay in Province of Pavia

"We booked here for 2 nights, but only stayed an hour, as we were upset about the poor animals living on the 'farm'. Nothing wrong with the rooms or the swimming pool, but the poor horses & donkeys are kept in awful living conditions. One horse had a huge wound on his leg, which was oozing with puss & covered in flies. The horses are very thin, with prominent ribs. The donkeys have no fresh water, only a green slimy area. "Lovely farm based Agritorismo with friendly helpful owner. Quiet bedroom with clean bathroom. Lovely breakfast with too many home made cakes to choose from! Sadly it was only a stopover on our way home. Beautiful gardens with domesticated rabbits roaming freely."
