Gorizia is a beautiful, small, Italian college town. We had a delicious dinner just across the street and truly enjoyed the 16th century bar in our hotel where the bartender told us a lot about the hotel history. "

"We chose this hotel because it was near the airport as we had an early flight home to Vancouver. It is a family run hotel with only 8 rooms, which had been recently renovated. We were there on a weekend and it was very quiet although I understand they are busy during the week. Their dining room is open for lunch and dinner and the food is really good, apparently mama does all the cooking. The owner arranged for an early taxi for us and was up at 4:30 am to make sure we got away and to help...
