Hidden Gem
Hotel has undergone recent impressive renovation. Room large and bed comfortable. Hotel is about 2 km from centre of old town, and further yet from train station. Best to taxi from train and decide later if you want to walk into town. We walked several times. Breakfast had many options for both European and North American pallet. The front counter staff, Paulo and Tatiana were very helpful and went out of their way to provide rental car assistance and directions. The hotel has what appears to be an artistic safety screen on the front securing balconies. This provides an obscured view, but we were out all day anyway so it was of little concern. Thank you. A clean and comfortable hotel with ample parking. The only issue was that the shower pressure was not good.
