"This was supposed to be a quick one day stay on our way passing through the town, and it was great! It was clean, quaint, and it had very interesting decor. We loved the vintage feel and I played Earth, Wind, and Fire and the other blues albums on the record player several times. I also took interest to some of the books that were so graciously offered there to read. Overall, it was a very cozy spot and I would recommend to anyone who wants a simple, peaceful stay with a retro country flare, good books, and music."

"I booked one night for a birthday trip. I could have stayed in that comfy bed all day. I slept through the night and woke refreshed. The price was higher than what I usually pay, but I wanted to stay somewhere nice. The bottom floor, which was one of our main reasons for choosing this hotel because of the restaurant, bar and fountain, is construction, but they did a great job of checking people in quickly at a makeshift kiosk. I was disappointed that we barely had enough bath tissue for one night, and someone’s leftover garlic-smelling wings were still in the fridge. They smelled like they had been there awhile. I was glad to see they have both trash and recycling in the room. I still recommend this place for its convenient location and feeling of safety and relaxation, especially once they finish construction. "
