"We really enjoyed our time in Maria’s place. She gave us a lovely welcome and made us feel at home. We loved all the space and the house and grounds were beautiful. "Stayed initially for three night but enjoyed it so much we had two more nights there. The apartments are well appointed and quite private. The rooms were spacious and well fitted with a jacuzzi in the bedroom. Quiet in grounds of large house on outskirts of Vila de Punhe about 4miles from Viana do Castelo. Easy access to the town. The staff were very nice and the owner was very helpful. The views were lovely over the area and vineyards. Everything worked well and had no problems."

"This property was amazing! Beyond gorgeous! Josè was extremely attentive and fixed anything that was needed. The only negative was although a couple fans were provided, it was extremely hot so we actually bought screens for a few of the windows to allow for air and to prevent bugs. "

"I was expecting, and have had, a far higher standard for the price. I wish I had taken more notice of the number of external photographs against interior shots as the only redeeming feature of this place is the outside area. The house itself is of a very low standard. Everything feels old. Not rustic, not traditional, not authentic, OLD! "This guy needs to communicate with guests better. I requested how to get in the day before, then twice the morning of my arrival. I didn't hear from him until 2:30 pm and check in was at 3. I was in Braga at that point and had to go wait in a cafe until I got his email. (It was raining) When I showed up at the place, a couple was outside trying to get in. Then later, after I returned around 8 pm, another couple was outside who couldn't get in. I let them in."

It's well equipped and very comfortable, and although there were only three of us there is plenty of room for six people. The villa is about a 20 mins walk to the beach if you don't want to drive. Lucilia, our host was there at the same time and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for your hospitality - the confiture was delicious!"
