Afan Forest House is also a stone's-throw from the stunning Bwlch Mountain, leading to the Rhondda Valley. Access to the national cycle path is also just 50 meters away. As a ground floor, single-level apartment, The Nook by STAYSTAYCATIONS is a fully-self-contained apartment that includes everything you need for your stay; including a WIFI, fully-equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, 2 bedrooms, a comfortable living space and a lovely bathroom with over-bath shower. There is a beautiful enclosed, shared garden with benches can be accessed by the external stairs right outside your door. Whether you want to go mountain biking in the Afan Forest Bike Park, or just want to get away from it all in this peaceful part of Wales, this property has everything you need for that home from home feeling. All bedding, towels etc. are provided. A Travel Cot and High Chair are available on request (note, we do provide cot bedding). Free unrestricted street parking is available in the area, plus a specific off-road space allocated for one car..
Guest Access:
The property is self check in using the key box outside the property. You will receive a code within 48 hours of your check in date. You will have the whole apartment to yourself for the duration of your stay. You won't be sharing with anyone. The only shared space is the garden.
The Neighborhood:
The Peak and Nook are part of a family of beautiful holiday apartments in the stunning Afan Valley in South Wales. The Afan Valley is renowned to attract keen Mountain bikers. It's attractive if you like fishing or long walks. The Afan Valley 12 mile walking and cycling path runs directly behind these beautiful apartments so is easily accessible. There are several lovely restaurants in the area.
There is a local leisure centre which has an indoor swimming pool and in Port Talbot there is Go Ape and a wide variety of shops.
The beautiful beach of Aberavon is in easy reach. Also you can visit the country house, castle and grounds of Margam Country Park.
Let your adrenaline flow on Afan Forrest Park's six mountain bike trails. Mile after mile of former railway line a great way to explore the outstanding beauty that awaits you.
If you prefer to walk, there are short strolls or long ramble routes, Afan Forest Park has something for everyone.
Near-by Glyncorrwg trail has food, bike shop, fishing and a great atmosphere! There are several visitor centres within easy reach.
