"The cottage is quirky, as described but is also comfortable and attractive in an highly individual way. We spent a long (and very wet!) weekend there and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. But were terribly let down: (1) car parking was a problem (2) accommodation was basic with no "Visitors Book" to leave comments (3) beds were uncomfortable (4) cooking utensils were sparse. "My family and I stayed at the French Mill Granary for 3 nights. We really enjoyed it. Our teenage daughter slept in the gypsy caravan which she loved. The garden was fabulous (our dog loved to run and discover various parts) and the swing was a hit. Everyone was very helpful giving us ideas about the places we could visit. We really enjoyed the Isle of Wight and staying at the the Granary which is in a very good location to travel around. Thank you"

"We returned to the cottage after our first stay last year because it was so lovely and comfortable. This time we also used the cottage next door for our grandchildren, who absolutely loved it. The cottage itself is in a great rural location but nevertheless only 10 mins drive from a supermarket and Freshwater Bay if you need a takeaway or food. It's also just a quarter of a mile from a bus-stop to Newport in one direction and Yarmouth in the other (if you don't have a car) so therefore ideal...

"My husband and I had a wonderful short break with our dog in this beautiful property. Spacious, light and well-equipped. Stunning bathroom, great kitchen and the wood burner and underfloor heating meant we were warm and cosy on a frosty weekend. Within easy reach of beautiful West Wittering beach, Chichester and the fabulous Runcton Farm Shop. Laura was very helpful, especially when we encountered problems with the boiler and she ensured it was rectified promptly. Thank you."

"Had a wonderful stay at this holiday cottage. The location was great —perfect for exploring the town centre and all that Chichester has to offer, while remaining quiet and peaceful. The cottage was spacious, well-equipped, and the bed comfortable. However, it could have been aired out and warmed up a bit more prior to our arrival, as it took a couple of days to feel truly homely. Aside from this minor issue, it was a lovely space and made for an enjoyable visit.”"

"The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable short stay with our children. I had a welcome text to check everything was ok, so nice to know someone was at the end of the phone should we need. Good base location situated on the grounds of The Garlic Farm and the shop, restaurant, cafe and games room all came in handy. Parking was easy too. Short drive from Ryde ferry port and Sandown beach. We also had a lovely meal at the recommended The Pointer Inn pub down the road....

Parking was right by the front door. Very quiet. Lovely high ceilings, good blackout curtains. Good size TV. Comfy feather pillows. Cons: Very hard beds, no oven, not a lot in the kitchen to make meals, not enough bowls and mugs ect. Quite narrow and few car parking spaces. No food served in the evenings. Steps to the loft...
