"This is our 2nd visit to Lucille’s paradise. It is a lovely, peaceful spot with mesmerizing views of the Seine, where boats travel up and down the river. We spent most of our time on the back grassy lawn, watching the river and reading our books. The house is lovely and very interesting. "The description in the property ad does not do it justice. The building with two apartments stands at the edge of a huge meadow. It took me about 10 minutes for a leisurely walk to the far end; on the other side of a fence there are fields, and on their other side the Seine. Sculptures are scattered throughout the park. "I had the worst experience with a host. After I booked and paid through Vrbo, for 48 nights for 14 persons, the owner asked for an additional payment of 42% of the price. I thought it is unbelievable. I did not accept this, I wanted to cancel. After some days of messaging, when the emergency state was imposed in France and she realized she will not get other guests, she accepted my offer to pay a small additional amount and finalized the booking.
