"It was a great get away weekend for us. The beach access was great, beautiful sunrise photos! 60% sand, 40% rocks. The house was perfect for us. Cozy, senior-pet and toddler friendly because it only had a few steps. Nothing fancy about the house, but that’s what we wanted. Could use some renovations (outlet in kitchen didn’t totally work, window A/C unit, new pull-out bed couch) Overall, reminded me of the old hunting cabins turned rentals we would stay in way up north. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Bad Axe, an IHG Hotel

"We were checking in very late (actually a couple hours after midnight-NYE). I called the property earlier in the day to let them know and they said they would put a note on my reservation. When we arrived at 2:00am they had our key cards ready. We really appreciated our room being ready even tho we were arriving so late."
