"It is a very nice property. Unfortunately there was only one sheet and the air was very cold, so I had bad nights, and turning up the temperature was risking mosquito bites. The mosquito net is not appropriate for the size of the bed. The bed needs a good adjustment and it makes a hard sound every time you move or sit down. We understand that the water pressure may be low, but bathing took longer than usual, however it was warm which contrasted with the cold air in that room. Apart from everything, it was very nice, comfortable, with a nice view, we always had little birds by the window and a chicken that walks around the back of the hotel. Christine (I think that is her name), is at the reception, as a waitress, attentive to details, was very kind and helped us find a solution to a problem that we had."

"Location was perfect. Room was beautiful and tastefully decorated. Gingerbread Suites are lovely but the adjacent Gingerbread hotel looks very neglected. "

"The grounds and garden are very nice. The staff is super friendly, excellent customer service and very helpful. It's a quick walk to Friendship Bay beach and Bequia Beach Hotel via a path through the backyard gardens. Beautiful views of Friendship Bay from the hotel. "

"From the booking process to leaving when we checked out, everything was top notch. The hosts arranged our transportation, which was a huge help not knowing the area. We appreciated the cleanliness, unique furnishings and setup of our particular room. The landscaping and grounds at Tropical Hideaway were lush and impeccably maintained. 5 stars!"

"In the ad it said that we were getting the whole house, however we couldn't use the downstairs and it also said there was a washer that didn't happen those were the only downfalls, besides that it was awesome."

"We were picked up by Brendon’s Taxi when we arrived on Bequia and were brought to the Ohana house where we were met by the wonderful Vanice. We were instantly impressed with the home and especially the kindness of Bequia. The house is exactly how it looks in the pictures and how it’s described. The beach is a very close walk. Although, very steep. You will have to be in decent shape to make it back and will need sandals with some grip. With that being said… that should not deter you from staying at this unique and beautiful home. You can always take the bus or give Brendon’s taxi a call. Brendons was very reliable. The house was equipped with everything we could possibly need. We will return. We loved it"
