"We loved our stay at the villa. There was plenty of room and the kids loved the pool. The hosts were helpful. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and the cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence are outstanding. The nearer towns of Barga and Castelnuovo are also very attractive. The area has recently been a center of attention on BBC with Amanda Holden, Rob Rinder and Clive Myrie. However, if you don't like heights and hairpin bends up a mountainside, this might not be the villa for you."

"It's a long drive up winding hills, but once you arrive in Sassi, you can forget about all your worries, sit back and relax. The main farmhouse and the cottage are both well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
