Norris Whanau Reunion

"We had been attending a family reunion further North. In the past, we had stayed in several separate locations but being able to book a beautiful home in a beautiful locale that was able to accommodate 16 (yes.... 16) of us..... it simply ticked all the boxes. Ranging in age from 6 to 78 and with a bunch of younger and older teens, having the two houses separated by a very comfortable outdoor fire pit area just worked. With the large flat lawns, the estuary directly across the road, and boogie boards, paddle boards and kayaks on hand, the kids, young and old were kept occupied and nicely worn out. The property itself was incredibly beautiful, well provisioned and built for comfort. Lovely linen bedding and a kitchen with every conceivable mod con..... can't wait to go back."

Relaxing getaway

"The house and setting are fabulous. Well-equipped home with everything you could need- lovely linen on the beds for a great sleep, warm outdoor shower, rooftop spa, lots of deck areas with plenty of sun and shade zones, beautiful gardens and lots of bird life. The secluded beach is a short stroll down the garden path. Great communication from the host. We had a truly relaxing week away here. Would love to stay again!"

"We have stayed before, and Cedar Heights Chalet continues to be our yearly go to place. Nestled in bush, high up in the hills, with views over Ngunguru, this place is just a delight to stay at. There is everything at the Chalet that you need. The place is tastefully decorated, clean, and with comfortable beds. The birdlife and surrounds are beautiful, along with being able to see the stars through windows and a skylight if one wishes to. The owners and communication is easy. Cedar Heights Chalet is a place where you can rest and rejuvenate, a little oasis and slice of paradise!"

"Spent a week in February, just the two of us, but house would be ideal for two groups as one end has double bedroom little lounge, looking out to beach, and 3 bedrooms, one double with ensuite, are at other end beyond main lounge. The adjacent motor camp was super quiet and has coffees and takeaways. Area absolutely gorgeous for swimming and boating activities "

What a gem!

"Quality accommodation with a massive outdoor area offering both covered and uncovered areas to sit and relax. Wonderful views and very central with an easy walk into the township. We spotted a band was playing at the local Sports club so joined the club for the day (costing 5 for 2 people), the band was great and we had a delightful evening meal too - everyone was really friendly, definitely worth a visit. The extra fridge/freezer was very useful as the one inside the studio is small. A great Webber BBQ is available. Sufficient pots, pans, plates, glasses etc are provided. We had very warm and sunny weather so were grateful for the aircon! The owner is delightful and allowed us a later check out which was much appreciated.A very thoughtfully laid out studio, ideal for a couple. We will return!"
