"A beautiful old castle that has been completely refurbished/modernized on the inside, sitting on a beautiful property with nearby forests, vineyards, and olive groves. After the hustle and bustle of Rome and Florence, the serenity here was perfection. We stayed in the 'deluxe double room' which was absolutely fantastic. We arranged a vespa rental and rode through the countryside to the nearby Castellina in Chianti and cute hilltop town and took a wonderful cooking class at Taverna...

"This was an absolute highlight of our trip. The castle is beautiful and incredibly well kept. The proprietor visited our table one morning, at the beautiful breakfast they offered, and gave us some fantastic history of the property and the upgrades she has made to the castle and the grounds. "If you're looking for a place that's quiet and off the beaten path this is it! Set in the beautiful country side, the scenery and gorgeous views itself will calm even the most turbulent mind! "What an amazing place! Volpaia is a unique venue, in a beautiful setting and it was a joy to stay there. Our room was lovely- comfortable, clean and with a stunning view- even from the loo! The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good - in short we could fault our stay at Castello di Volpaia."

"Simply the most relaxing situation one could imagine. Just a perfect blend of nature, farm edges (e.g. not a resort) but unreal food/wine. Just hanging out by the pool all day or walking vineyards or simply just "being" while the Tuscan sun rejuvenates your soul. It was a fantastic couple of days that was restorative and memorable."

"Wonderful location!!! Everything within walking distance. Friendly staff, clean modern room. Shower needs repairing. Will definitely return to stay here. If you are driving to the hotel, It’s a ZTL zone so contact the hotel to make arrangements for your car to be garaged. Don’t need a car here. It is in the best location!!!"

"Beautiful hotel and awesome location. Hotel is located at the edge of Siena central city. An easy walk to the city with the added benefit of being in a quiet location. We loved Siena! The grounds were beautiful as was the hotel and room. The room was a spacious apartment with a large bedroom full of windows overlooking the beautiful grounds. Also,a comfortable king bed with an attached living room and kitchen. We cooked in our room one night with the supplies from the large grocery store a short walk from the hotel. Dishes, utensils and cooking pans supplied in the room. The train and bus terminal were a short walk from the hotel for easy connections to other areas. We loved this hotel so much we extended our stay an extra day. "
