"We had a fabulous stay. The house is in a wonderful area, very quiet and rural yet only 3-4km from the nearest villages/ small towns with lots of great restaurants etc. The house itself is wonderful - a true home from home. The garden is 'rustic' but great for lots of people and the dog. Note - it is not fully fenced in, although there are hedge boundaries and gates to the main road, so the dogs can (and ours did!) escape! The only issue we had was with the pool going very green after a storm -...

"The swimming pool was green with algea and very dirty. We could not use it . The kitchen was full of flies, which we spent a lot of money having to clean, buy fly spray, fly strip! The cleaning was very poor. Mattresses on beds stained. The house could be beautiful and is in a lovely setting. But is in a state of disrepair. Very disappointing as this was our first family holiday in 3 years."

"Family of 3 generations from 9yrs to 77yrs, 14 in total. We all agreed that it was the best house we had stayed in with loads of character and flexible accommodation. "A fabulous, quirky house spread over many levels with all the mod cons ensured a very relaxing and comfortable stay. Tennis court and swimming pool meant the teenagers were entertained and happy, whilst being in the heart of the Ardeche for river swimming and canoeing! "This was the most perfect place to celebrate my 50th birthday with family. The two buildings are both unique, interesting and very easy to stay in.
