"Large family group with 8 adults and one infant. The villa was fabulous and very spacious and very well suited to the adults. A little challenging for the infant but we knew that from the accurate depiction. Very helpful team during stay and the cleaner on the middle weekend did a fabulous job."

"We were on a family holiday with two families and grandparents. The accommodation was perfect as we were all able to have our own space with ample communal space as well. The pool was perfect and there are many choices of areas to sit and relax. The hosts could not have been accommodating and welcoming. Easy access to a variety of local supermarkets meant catering was easy. We will definitely be coming back!"

It is a rather large place to stay for just two people as it does have 5 bedrooms and a rather large living area, but we were very happy with it. "Didier and his wife were the perfect hosts. The property is brand new! We were the first to stay. Absolute luxury and convenience. We stayed in winter but we would return for summer to use the pool. Perfect location in Umbria to go to Siena Assisi and Gubbio. Foligno is centrally located and the house was perfect for 6 of us. We will return!!"

The owner was there to meet us, show us around and advise on dinner etc. The surrounding view and area is stunning, peaceful and in the countryside. The rooms are large with en suites. "This property is Extremely Beautiful and so very very well maintained and clean. Our host and hostess greeted us with a bottle of wine and a berry tort, delicious. The surrounding area is so very peaceful and beautiful. We were there for 1 week and totally enjoyed our selves. The home itself is very well equipped with whatever one would need. I could tell that attention to detail was the owners goal. Very lovely people and very lovely home."

"Our stay at the Barbacane was lovely. It's pretty close to Spoleto, though a somewhat winding road. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the bed is wonderfully comfortable. We had a very nice time there! "

A peaceful & authentic stay

"We had a wonderful time staying at Maria Rosa’s as a family of 6 with 4 kids 11 & younger. It was a great price & had everything we needed for a week long stay. It was a nice place to use as a home base for exploring the area of Umbria (Don’t miss Assisi! It is amazing!) There was a well loved pool table & foosball table that our kids greatly enjoyed. We were able to cook with all the pots & pans we needed & the water was hot for showers. Keep in mind you definitely need a car & this is a well loved & well lived in flat so you get what you pay for which we were grateful for. Our highlight was walking up the road & watching the sun rise! The pool looked like it would be enjoyable if you stayed during the hot season, we missed out on that but stayed cozy with the wall heaters instead. If you are looking for a space to make a home base during your exploration of Umbria & also love the peace & beauty of being nestled in olive groves, this is it! Thanks Maria Rosa! "
