"Not quite sure it meets 5 star standard. Room space is lovely, plush and beds super comfy. Bathroom quite basic but shampoo etc provided. Spa ok but could with refurb now as facilities dated. One if the steam rooms out of order. Large glass door smashed and awaiting repair. Loungers by pool were soggy and stank. Lifts up to the spa all out of order Breakfast was the highlight. Ok hotel but nothing special. "

"The hosts were welcoming and super responsive from the point of booking and throughout our stay. There is a well equipped kitchen with some lovely extras that were there for our arrival, including fresh eggs from the farm chickens. The garden and hot tub area is great for evenings under the stars. The bathrooms are spotless with great showers and the bedrooms have super comfy beds with feather duvets and pillows and good quality cotton bedding. "Overall, our stay was great and we had a lovely time. The food in the restaurant was amazing. The only quibble was that our cream tea took 30 mins to get to us in the afternoon, and then our dinner took 1 hour due to some timing issues with a big table. However, the waitress was incredibly lovely and apologetic for the delay - in the end, our food and drink were all free due to the delay, which was appreciated. We loved the lounge area too, such lovely decor and the atmosphere was welcoming. Our room was slightly dated (furniture) but it served its purpose - the bed was super comfy and the bathroom was lovely and clean. We could hear quite a bit of noise from adjoining rooms (doors closing and voices) but luckily didn’t go on into the night and was very short lived. Overall, we would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay! "
